Greg Fitzsimmons

Greg’s new stand-up special, Greg Fitzsimmons: You Know Me, was recorded on November 18, 2023 at The Comedy Mothership in Austin, TX. After 35 years performing stand-up, You Know Me, finds Greg hilariously reflecting on 34 years of sobriety, sex with a 57-year-old woman, convincing your children that you’re cool, and combating loneliness on the road.  And he realizes, he’s happy where he is.

Greg is an accomplished stand-up, a four-time Emmy-winning writer, and a host on TV, radio and his own podcasts.  Host of the popular  FitzDog Radio  podcast, as well as the Sunday Papers and the Childish podcasts, Greg has made more than 20 visits to The Joe Rogan Experience and 50 visits to The Howard Stern Show, and one hundred on The Adam Carolla Show.  Howard gave Greg his own show on SiriusXM, which ran for more than ten years.  He’s done dozens of appearances on all the late-night talk shows including Letterman, The Tonight Show, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel.

Greg’s previous one-hour special, Life On Stage, was named a Top 10 Comedy Release by LA Weekly.  It premiered on Comedy Central before moving to Netflix and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime.  Greg’s 2011 book, Dear Mrs. Fitzsimmons, climbed the best-seller list and garnered outstanding reviews from NPR and Vanity Fair.

Greg co-starred in the 2023 feature film, The Road Dog, appeared on the hit Netflix series, Santa Clarita Diet, co-starred on the Emmy-winning FX series, Louie, spent five years as a panelist on VH1’s Best Week Ever, another five years on Chelsea Lately, two years on Lights Out With David Spade, and starred in two half-hour stand-up specials on Comedy Central.

Greg was a writer and appeared on the hit Judd Apatow HBO series, Crashing.  Writing credits also include HBO’s Lucky Louie, Cedric the Entertainer Presents, Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, The Man Show and The Emmy Awards.  On his mantle beside the four Daytime Emmys he won as a writer and producer on The Ellen DeGeneres Show sit The Jury Award for Best Comedian from The HBO Comedy Arts Festival and a Cable Ace Award for the MTV game show he hosted, Idiot Savants.
